The students, faculty and staff at the LSU College of Music and Dramatic Arts are mourning the loss of an alumna and colleague Lynea Sprung Hambrice. She passed away unexpectedly on July 30, 2009. At the request of her parents, a memorial scholarship fund has been established to help students follow her path in the study of music, and to sustain the memory of this talented, caring and inspirational individual.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lynea Sprung Hambrice Scholarship for the LSU School of Music through the LSU Foundation. Contributions should be made payable to the LSU Foundation, with the memo noting the "Lynea Sprung Hambrice Scholarship for the School of Music."
