Willis Delony est connu aux Etats-Unis en tant que pianiste classique et jazz, chef d'orchestre, chambriste, compositeur et arrangeur. Ses explorations en jazz et en piano classique sont présentées dans un enregistrement de compositeurs américains intitulé Double Dance - Classical and Jazz Connections II, sur Centaur Records (2008). Un album précédent, également sur le label Centaur, est intitulé A New World A' Comin' - Classical and Jazz Connections. Delony a également enregistré des sonates de Samuel Barber et Sergei Prokofiev, toujours pour Centaur, et un album de jazz, Civilized Conversations, Avec William Ludwig, bassoon,  il a donné la creation mondiale de la Sonata for Bassoon and Piano d'André Previn.
Au cours des saisons de concerts récents, Delony s'est produit en soliste ou avec les orchestres américains de Wichita, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Toronto, Madison (Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra), Spartanburg (Caroline du Sud), Rochester, Omaha, Nashville, Fort Worth, La Nouvelle-Orléans ( Orchestre philharmonique de la Louisiane), Shreveport, l'Orchestre du Festival de Sun River Bend, OR et l'Orchestre de Floride (Tampa). Il s'est produit comme soliste invité avec le Columbus (GA) Symphony, Orlando Philharmonic, Orchestre symphonique de Toledo, le Symphonique de Baton Rouge, Louisiane et la Sinfonietta, et lors d'une tournée asiatique en 2002,  avec l'Orchestre symphonique de Shanghai. En récital solo, il a joué des concerts classique et jazz en France et en Allemagne. Un arrangeur de jazz reconnu, les partitions de Delony ont été jouées par des orchestres à travers les États-Unis et au Canada. Delony est Professeur de piano et de Jazz à la Louisiana State University à Baton Rouge, où il est également directeur par intérim de l'École de Musique. 

Willis Delony has won national and international acclaim as a jazz and classical pianist, conductor, chamber player, composer, and arranger. His concert explorations of the jazz and classical piano worlds are showcased in a recent recording of music by American composers entitled Double Dance - Classical and Jazz Connections II, which was released by Centaur Records in 2008.  A previous album, also on the Centaur label, is entitled A New World A' Comin' - Classical and Jazz Connections. Previous album credits include a recording of sonatas by Samuel Barber and Sergei Prokofiev, also on the Centaur label, and a jazz album entitledCivilized Conversations, featuring Delony and bassist Bill Grimes. He is featured in collaboration with bassoonist William Ludwig on the recent recording, Rhapsody in Bassoon, on the Mark Records label, which features the world premiere recording of André Previn's Sonata for Bassoon and Piano.
During recent concert seasons, Delony has appeared as piano soloist or conductor with American orchestras in Wichita, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Toronto, Madison (Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra), Spartanburg (South Carolina), Rochester, Omaha, Nashville, Fort Worth, New Orleans (Louisiana Philharmonic), Shreveport, the Sun River Festival Orchestra in Bend, OR and the Florida Orchestra (Tampa). He has appeared as guest soloist with the Columbus (GA) Symphony, Orlando Philharmonic, Toledo Symphony, the Baton Rouge Symphony, the Louisiana Sinfonietta and, in a 2002 Asian tour, the Shanghai Symphony. As a solo recitalist, he has performed classical and jazz concerts in France and Germany. An experienced jazz arranger, Delony's scores have been performed by orchestras throughout the U.S. and Canada. His work as pianist, arranger and conductor is currently featured in Club Swing and Stay Tuned, the popular orchestral shows featuring the Minneapolis-based vocal group Five By Design. Delony is the Aloysia Barineau Professor of Keyboard Studies and Professor of Jazz Studies at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, where he also serves as Interim Director of the LSU School of Music and Associate Dean of the College of Music and Dramatic Arts. He is a past recipient of an Artist Fellowship by the Louisiana Division of the Arts in recognition of his achievements in classical and jazz performance.
